Originally completed in 1980, Aladdin holds a very special place in the history of Stevens Puppets. It would ultimately become the final full‑length marionette production lovingly created by the legendary husband‑and‑wife team, Martin and Margi Stevens. In 2015, this treasured masterpiece was given new life through the artistry of Stevens Puppets’ own resident multi‑talented artist, Zan Raynor. With great care and reverence to the Stevens’ vision, Raynor faithfully recreated the original scenery and designs, refreshing them with brilliant new paintwork and creating vibrant new props that sparkle with character. A completely new soundtrack was also introduced that same year, breathing renewed magic into the production. The result is a beautifully revitalized performance that captures both the timeless charm of the Stevens’ original creation and the fresh spirit of its rebirth for a new generation of audiences to enjoy.
